We are recruiting to fill the below job position;

Job Title: Project Management Officer

Reporting Line: Capital Projects (CP)

Responsibilities:
• The Project Management Officer will be responsible for department wide monitoring and review of project performance. Daily co-ordination and tracking of technical department projects and deliverables. Responsibilities will include:
• Provide both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks and issues to project stakeholders and senior management
• Identify and monitor critical dependencies between projects and escalate for immediate action.
• Co-ordinating all DC Project meetings, meeting requests and agenda planning
• Consolidating issues logs, risk registers and updating for all projects
• Follow up on agreed weekly tasks, issues and resolution plans with each unit within the department
• Liaising with each project PM on reporting format and communication planning
• Liaise with support services on travel plans of all consultants
• Liaise with finance on Purchase Orders (P.O.)s and approvals
• Co-ordinate weekly technology department meetings, issue meeting minutes within 24hrs of meeting
• Compiling and issuing weekly departmental reports from all Project PM’s for review by Head, Capital Projects and sent to senior Management.

Competencies Required:

• 5-8 years’ experience in Project Management / PMO function with active Project Management Certification e.g. (PMP, Prince or equivalents)
• Active experience tracking projects from initiation through to completion
• Technical knowledge with an engineering background is preferred
• Excellent documentation and communication skills with attention to detail
• Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving skills
• Able to prioritize work and deal with complex situations
• Self-management skills
• Team work
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Visio design software will be an added advantage

Demands of the Job: Ability and willingness to work above and beyond expectations and meet tight deadlines as projects demand.

Qualification:

• Project Management Certification e.g. (PMP, Prince ) , with min of 5-8 active experience in PMO role including project document management and administration.
• B.Sc. / B.Tech / HND in Engineering or Project Management
• M.Sc. in Project Management will be an added advantage.
