Job Title: Shift Fireman
Job Reference: SF 13
Department: Safety & Sanitation
The Job
Be present when any potentially flammable activity is being performed in order to ensure that all necessary fire equipment/gear is available and being utilized properly and to put out any fire that may occur
Fight fire within the premises and all other company owned property, to carry out rescue operations for people trapped in lifts or in high places and to assist the company's subsidiaries' fire fighters to fight fire on their premises
Carry out practical sessions to train staff on first aid fire fighting procedures
Ensure compliance and report non-compliance during routine fire drills within the premises and other assigned areas
Inspect and maintain all fire fighting and prevention equipment at the company's premises/official quarters and educate custodian on fire prevention, first aid and fire fighting
Carryout sanitation activities like monitoring/recording wastes evacuation, managing spillage emergencies, etc
The Person
Physically fit
Demonstrate aptitude for using required tools and equipment
Ability to absorb verbal and written communication
Basic numerical and literacy ability
Qualification
O' level credits
Certificate in Basic Fire Fighting obtained at State or Federal Fire Training School
Experience
Minimum of 2 years cognate experience
